Natalie Portman at the Black Swan Premiere (Venice Film Festival)

Honestly, I love Natalie Portman's style. I think it's simply beautiful and elegant. She looks absolutely stunning in this color of red and i love how the design of the dress, especially the way the 'straps' come out as a 'v' from the 'chest of the dress' and fan out...while the actually sleeves are hanging from the shoulder to bicep. It gives her a graceful look and kind of makes it look like she might have a shawl gracing her shoulders, which emphasizes the dress's elegance as well. The beads that have been strung along the straps of the dress also give the dress more character so that the dress isn't just plain red.

The beads on the straps of the dress as well as the bodice give her character with elegance. It emphasizes the fact that she has a bold personality, but is also gentle and very feminine from the way the bodice graces her waist as well as how the sleeves grace her shoulders.

The dress isn't too short nor too long and just flows to the right length, right above her heels. I do think the dress is too v neck and i do not like the fact that their is a 'cut' through the exact front of  her dress; i think it kills the graceful look of the dress. But that is my opinion.

I think if the dress had been a v neck with sleeves that started from the straps as kind of a short sleeved dress, it would have also been alright, but would not have highlighted Natalie Portman's beaming face, and accented her character. The dress gave her elegance, and the cut of the straps/dress gave her character because of the way it accented her beaming face.

But, of course, her face would not have beaming without the perfect makeup. I think her make up was done absolutely beautifully. Her eyes were darkened with eyeliner and mascara but her foundation and blush were of very natural tones. I believe that her eye makeup gave her boldness and character, while the rest of her face, the foundation, light pink lipstick color, and blush, gave her elegance and grace.

Her hair was styled to be off the face, once again, emphasizing her face, and the braided and twisted bun in the back, i believe give her traditional beauty and elegance.

Her clutch is white, and i believe that if her clutch had been red, that would have been way too much red for our eyes to handle and behold. The outfit would then seem a bit off. White was a great color to accessorize the dress with. Black would have darkened her outlook and not emphasized her face as much as white does as well.

Her earrings are also simple studs, which was a great choice in my opinion. If she had had huge shiny earrings on, earrings graced with crystals, gems and jewels like red rubies, or diamonds, not just studs, the attention would also have been focused on the earrings, not her herself.

Everything about this emphasizes who she is, bold and elegant. That's exactly how your clothing should present you...accenting who you are and this dress did just that for Natalie Portman in my opinion.
She looks beautiful here. semperjolie!<3
